• She studied at the Institute of Art Production m Prague (1970-1972) and in 1976-82 at the Academy of Creative Arts in Prague under Prof. ]iroudek. During her studies she recieved a grant to visit Belgium and Bulgaria. She is a member of the Femina Art Group with which she regularly exhibits (e. g. in 1999 in the Senate of Czech Republic). Her favourite motives are the landscapes from the Orlické Mountains, where her summer house is situated. Her oilpaintings do not describe any particular landscapes, nor particular places, but in most cases they represent dreamy, lyric and baladic imaginary landscapes. Into paintings of dream countryside she often places figurative motives, figures of parents with children, horše riders, grazing horses etc. Trees symbolising loneliness, nostalgia, pain and grieve but also harmony, friendship, freedom and love dominate her paintings. Her still-lives offlowers are also well-known. The light in her paintings is diffused, dreamy, well balanced with prevailing greenish tones. The similar atmosphere appears also in her pastels. She has had many solo exhibitions and taken part in many others. She is represented by her works in public and private collections at home and abroad.

po absolvování průmyslové školy studoval na akademii výtvarných umění v Praze nejprve malířství u profesorů Karla Mináře a Jána Želibského, později sochařství u profesorů Jana Laudy a Otakara Španiela.

Akademická malířka Helena Hrušková-Slavíková nar. 24.4.1924

studovala nejprve na státní grafické škole v Praze a poté na pražské akademii výtvarných umění, kterou absolvovala r 1950Jejími profesory byli Karel Minář, Ján Želibský a v grafické speciálce Vladimír PuklJe důvěrně od dětství sžita s prostředím Prahy a Orlických hor,nachází zde vděčné motivy pro své obrazy,zejména však inspiraci ke svébytnému pojetí malby,která se vytříbila ve zcela ojedinělé mistrovské technice akvarelu.
